The Birth of a Resin Prince

People often joke that "there's no fairy tale in the adult world," but the Disney merchandise hidden in office drawers and the prince - and - princess prints on coffee cups betray everyone's secret longing for romance. We wanted to do something different—not a lofty, overly delicate ornament, but a resin prince with a touch of "everyday charm": perhaps sneaking out of a ball for a breather, clutching a rose he hasn't had the chance to give away; or sitting on a castle wall, lost in thought, with his hair tousled by the wind. And that's how the idea for the resin figurines was born. To protect it, we also designed a decorative box, making it not only a charming desktop decoration but also a thoughtful gift.

In the initial design phase, we sketched out dozens of versions: a prince in armor with an adorable expression, or one casually wearing a hoodie. Eventually, we settled on the look of a prince on a casual outing—wearing a loose cape, a slightly askew crown, and holding a slightly wilted rose. For the material, we tested three types of resin and finally chose high - toughness transparent resin as the base. It can clearly capture every detail, from individual strands of hair to the folds of the cape, and is also resistant to cracking. The most time - consuming part was adjusting the expression. Initially, we designed a "cool - faced" look, but after testing the mold, we found that a look with a slightly raised eyebrow and a hint of helplessness was more appealing. So, we readjusted the mold and even fine - tuned the curvature of the rose petals three times. We didn't cut corners on the packaging box either. The inner lining is covered with velvet to prevent scratches, and the inside of the box lid is printed with the words "Your Fairy Tale Starts Here," creating a sense of ceremony the moment it's opened.

Now, this resin figure miniature statue has become a "lifesaver on the desktop" for many people. Office workers pulling all - nighters say that looking at its tilted head and the rose is more effective than motivational slogans. Those who gave it as a birthday gift to friends received feedback like "Unpacking it felt like opening a childhood fairy - tale dream." Even kindergarten teachers have bought it as a storytelling prop, and the kids keep asking, "Where is Prince going on an adventure today?"
