From Anime to Desk: The K-On Mini Figure Story
It all started with a coffee-fueled idea during a Wednesday design meeting. When our lead designer Lin joked, "What if we shrink that K-On!scene—Yui eating cake on the couch—into an 8cm PVC figure?" little did she know this would spark our entire project.
The first three months were chaotic. We collected over 200 "most huggable" anime references: Nyanko-sensei perched on a head in Natsume’s Book of Friends, Yor from Spy x Familydozing with a plushie... But fitting dynamic scenes into an 8cm model? Harder than building LEGO on a matchstick.
Materials tested three times. Soft rubber ears melted like mochi in the first mold; transparent resin captured details but cost a fortune. Food-grade PVC won after 7 formula tweaks—soft yet durable, never yellowing.
Facial expressions sparked debates. A "deep-thought" zombie face was rejected; user surveys favored the "takoyaki bliss" squint smile. That 30° lip curve? 19 revisions to perfect.
Production had surprises: 0.3mm laser engraving for fluffy kitten fur, Kyoto sunset-inspired pink gradients for the cloud base, and individually pressed sugar sprinkles on the tiny cake.
After 37 prototypes—from a lopsided monster to the final version with sparkling eyes and whiskers you can count—every detail shows our obsession. Place it on your desk, and even grumpy programmers will sneak peeks. Who says tech geeks can’t love cute?

Electroplating Figure
Electroplating coats plastic toy figures (like action figures, model car parts, or collectibles) with a thin, durable layer of real metal (such as chrome, gold, or nickel). An electrical current is passed through the figure, immersed in a solution containing dissolved metal ions, causing the metal to deposit evenly onto its surface. This gives the toys a shiny, metallic finish, enhances their realism, increases durability, and provides corrosion resistance.
