The Big Boy PVC Figure

Last week, while strolling past an old neighborhood graffiti wall, I spotted a teen in ripped work pants tiptoeing to reach the highest spot on the wall. He held a spray paint can in one hand, painting the wobbly letters "BIG BOY" — the orange paint still dripping from the last stroke, while his shoe tips were dotted with splattered pigment. When he turned around with a cheeky grin, I snapped a quick photo and sent it to the team right away: "Can we turn this moment into a PVC figure?"

Back at the factory, we spent three days tweaking the design: our designer agonized over how to capture the dynamic pose of the PVC figure holding a spray can, testing three different bottle shapes before settling on a mini can with a transparent straw. The matte white PVC body of the figure was then airbrushed with splatter effects in red, yellow, blue, and green using a perforated mold — perfectly mimicking the chaotic energy of real graffiti. When the prototype of the PVC figure was finally done, our intern placed it on the office desk, striking a "pretend-to-graffiti" pose. The whole team burst out laughing: "This is exactly what goes through our minds when we’re brainstorming crazy ideas for pitches!"
