When we first discussed this project in the meeting room, the air was filled with complaints: "Toys on the market are either too ordinary or too complicated. We need to create something different!" Someone proposed making a "small monster with fluffy ears and a shiny vinyl face," and the idea was instantly approved by everyone. We decided to create a designer-customized cartoon art figure toy that "looks a bit cool, feels super soft, and catches the eye of collectors."
The initial design phase was like an "ugly doll evolution." The first sketch of the little monster looked like a flattened potato, and the vinyl eyes in the second version were crooked like fly legs. Then one day, the illustrator had a sudden idea: "What if we add a pair of fluffy ears, a little crown, and a sassy little expression?" Everyone slapped the table in agreement—that was it!
The production process was like a "handicraft class challenge." To make the plush body soft enough, we visited five fabric markets and finally chose ultra-soft plush with a slight fuzziness. For the vinyl parts, we used a transparent material. To achieve an effect that was "crystal-clear yet not too hard," we adjusted the molds over a dozen times. The funniest part was the packaging—what was originally an ordinary cardboard box was criticized by the designer as "looking like a vegetable market plastic bag." It was eventually upgraded to a matte-finish box, with the little monster's "self-introduction" printed on the inside of the lid.
As soon as the product was launched, it became an "underdog dark horse." Kids hugged it and said, "It's my new pet!" Collectors treated it as a "limited-edition treasure," and even the office cleaning lady couldn't help but take a second look. Now it's not only the "star of the show" at exhibitions but also the "most desired desk companion" in fans' unboxing posts. Meanwhile, our designers are already sketching "Dudu's friends" in their notebooks.

Electroplating Figure
Electroplating coats plastic toy figures (like action figures, model car parts, or collectibles) with a thin, durable layer of real metal (such as chrome, gold, or nickel). An electrical current is passed through the figure, immersed in a solution containing dissolved metal ions, causing the metal to deposit evenly onto its surface. This gives the toys a shiny, metallic finish, enhances their realism, increases durability, and provides corrosion resistance.
