Diana Thomson is a native American designer, specializing in Vinyl sticker toys, blind box dolls, and trendy soft rubber toys. She has been deeply involved in the field of designer toys. During the global pandemic in 2020, she became obsessed with drawing polar bears and continuously refined the design to expand the range of bears to include black bears, polar bears, and brown bears. She also created a series of iconic designs: oversized transparent contrasting eyes + pink drooping saliva at the corners of the mouth (the name "Blood Bears" was derived from this), a round, chubby, and endearing appearance, with an eerie, dark, and cute style, featuring a contrast between softness and a hint of bloodiness. The Blood Bears 

collection was born from her hand-drawn and clay sculpture practice to pass the time at home, and eventually it was transformed into mass-produced limited edition figurines. 

The Blood Bear is a little bear in the forest that loves to eat berries and has juice flowing down its chin. "Blood" actually refers to the juice of berries, not blood. It softens the horror aspect and enhances the childlike and bizarre charm. Soft and plump version of the bear, with chubby body, blood-stained lips and highly saturated contrasting eyes, it is sweet, sad, grotesque and represents the representative style of recent niche pop culture toys in Europe and America.
