Private label is not a discount tier and not a synonym for OEM. It is a specific arrangement about ownership: your brand sits on the product, your design rights stay yours, the tooling is exclusive to you, and the legal label names you as the brand owner while we stay the manufacturer of record.
A private label PVC toy program is a manufacturing relationship in which the products are made to be sold under your brand, not ours and not a third party's. In practice that means three things most suppliers do not spell out: the mold is built exclusively for your design and never reused for another client, the brand assets you send us are held under custody rather than casually copied between projects, and the compliance paperwork — technical file, declaration, tracking label — is structured so that your company can legally place the product on the market.
We run PVC injection molding as the standard process for private label lines: it holds sharp sculpt detail, repeats cavity-to-cavity without drift across large volumes, and takes debossed logos and pad-printed brand marks cleanly. Soft rotocast vinyl, ABS and cast resin remain available when a specific piece in your line needs a hollow body, an internal frame or a small gallery-grade run.
| Material | Best For | Branding Surface | Unit Cost at Volume | Tooling Reality |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rigid Injection PVC ★ | Collectible character lines, 3-12 in, sharp detail and pad-printed faces | Excellent — takes debossed mold logos, pad print, hot stamp and in-mold text | Mid at 100-999; drops sharply at 2,500+ where multi-cavity tooling pays back | Higher upfront, but amortizes across reorders and stays exclusive to your brand |
| Soft Rotocast Vinyl | Kawaii and urban art pieces with hollow bodies and hand-painted gradients | Good — paint-based branding, less crisp for hard-edged logo marks | Low-mid; cheap tooling makes small line extensions affordable | Low cost, shorter mold life than steel, ideal for testing a character |
| ABS | Line pieces with moving parts, swappable accessories or weighted bases | Good — takes texture, gloss and printed decals well | Mid; part cost depends on wall and ribbing design | Per-part tooling; best when a piece genuinely needs mechanical function |
| Cast Polyresin | Gallery-grade pieces, small runs under 500 pcs, stone or bronze effects | Excellent for fine surface texture, weaker for sharp plastic-style logos | High — silicone molds wear within a run | Cheapest molds, worst per-unit economics at scale |
| Plush | Soft extensions of the same character IP for gift retail | Woven labels, embroidery and printed tags rather than molded marks | Low at volume; labor-bound and slower to scale | No molds — pattern development instead |
| Process | What It Delivers | Private Label Notes |
|---|---|---|
| PVC Injection Molding | Sharp detail, consistent wall, cavity-to-cavity repeatability | Cavity count locked at quoting; more cavities cut unit cost on reorders |
| Steel Engraving for Debossed Logo | Your logo sunk into the mold so it appears on every unit forever | Engraved once, no per-unit cost; depth 0.3-0.5 mm reads cleanly at 15 mm |
| Pad Printing (Tampo) | Multi-color logos, brand marks, small text at 0.1 mm registration | Plates stored per SKU; first-off compared to the approved brand proof |
| Hot Stamping / Foil | Metallic or matte brand marks that read as premium on sight | Best on the base, box sleeve and hang tags; avoid on high-wear surfaces |
| Hand-Painted Detail | Color depth and character expression beyond molded color | Paint formula chips retained per colorway for cross-batch brand consistency |
| Spray Masking | Hard color boundaries matching your brand palette blocks | Masks re-cut every 800-1,000 pieces so boundaries stay sharp |
| Clear Coat (Gloss or Matte) | Final surface character and paint protection | Gloss tolerance plus or minus 5 GU across a run; brand look stays uniform |
| Brand Labeling and Barcoding | Legal manufacturer data, tracking label, UPC or EAN applied at packing | Label position and artwork verified against your approved master at QC |
