Per-design MOQ starts at 100 pcs, the same baseline as the rest of the Demeng Toy factory. For cartoon character figures we typically work in four practical brackets: Pilot Run 100 to 499 pcs per design for first-time character tests; Brand Run 500 to 1,999 pcs per design for a brand mascot or retail character drop; Wholesale 2,000 to 4,999 pcs per design for retail chain expansion; Volume 5,000 pcs or more per design for major IP rollouts and franchise campaigns.

Standard first production is 54 to 75 days from approved artwork to first carton, broken down as 7 to 11 days for the 3D sculpt and color sample, 35 to 42 days for steel mold making and injection preparation, and 14 to 22 days for paint, pad print, assembly, QC and packaging. A rush prototype turn-around of 3 to 5 working days is available for designs that already have a finished master on file. For a re-order of an existing tooled design, the cycle drops to 35 to 50 days because the steel mold, the Pantone chip and the golden sample are already in place.

Injection molded PVC pushes molten PVC resin into a closed steel mold under high pressure and forms a rigid, solid wall 1.5 to 3.5 mm thick. It is the right pick for sharp edges, tight geometric tolerances, articulated joints and very high production volume at a lower per-unit cost. Rotocast vinyl pours liquid PVC plastisol into a heated aluminum mold and spins it into a hollow 2.5 to 6 mm shell. It is the right pick for soft, curvy, mass-market toy bodies and lower MOQ runs. For a cartoon character figure where the head is large, the silhouette is round and the production volume is moderate to high, injection molded PVC gives the crisper color blocks, the harder edges and the lower piece-part cost.

Yes. A franchise or a retail character line benefits from a unified cartoon language, and we lock that with a brand character bible before the first sculpt: head-to-body ratio, eye size, line weight, palette range, and finishing style. Every character sculpt is signed off against the bible, every Pantone chip is filed under the brand code, and every production run pulls from the same master color reference board so the same warm orange reads as the same warm orange across the whole character family on the same shelf.

We support both. For original cartoon IP, our ODM sculpt team can co-develop the character with a turn-around sheet and a personality matrix, and the original sculpt file is handed back to you. For licensed cartoon IP, we need the licensor's written authorization, the official style guide and the master assets before any tool is cut, and a likeness and IP clearance record is filed with the batch documents to keep the brand-side audit clean. We do not start tooling on a licensed cartoon IP without documented authorization.
