Production Process of Custom Plush Toys

The production of custom plush toys, seemingly a straightforward product, actually involves several key processes:

1. Design - Sampling - Layout - Cutting - Sewing- Attaching Eyes and Noses - Filling and Sealing- Shaping and Binding - Quality Inspection- Packaging for Storage

animal custom plush toys, crafted mainly from plush fabrics and other textile materials, feature inner fillings like PP cotton, material fillings, or granular fillings. Commonly known as plush toys, soft toys, or stuffed toys, these items encompass an array of materials and production methods.

Fabric Choices

The primary material for custom plush toys is plush fabric, including various textiles like synthetic leather, terry cloth, velvet, fabric, nylon, corduroy, among others, each categorized by thickness: heavy, medium, and light types. Common medium fabrics include short plush, velvet, coral fleece, among others.

Custom Vinyl Toys: How They Are Manufactured

For large-scale toy collection production, PVC and ABS are ideal choices, while PU resin and polymer resin are better suited for small-batch artist/designer toys. The appearance, strength, and size of the product determine the characteristics of the chosen materials. Different materials exhibit different properties - some are thermoplastic, others are cold resin, impacting production time, scale, and costs (molds, labor).

PVC and vinyl are the most commonly used materials in the toy industry. The majority of toys at art toy exhibitions are made from PVC, vinyl, or a combination of both. PVC is durable and often found in action figures, dolls, and toy sets. Vinyl, on the other hand, is softer and suits bath ducks and designer toys better.

PVC toys stand out due to their lightweight, insulation, thermal conductivity, moisture resistance, fire resistance, acid and alkali resistance, and corrosion resistance. Production techniques involve compression, mixing, stretching, granulating, extrusion, or injection molding, making it easy to process and assemble later on.

Resin Figures Crafting and Production Process

Resin figures, also known as resin doll statues, are figurines crafted from resin, a compound that hardens into an elastic and sturdy material upon processing. Natural or synthetic resins are utilized in character production, making resin a favored material for molding and shaping. With its versatility as a casting material, resin has gained widespread popularity in commercial and hobbyist casting.

Resin effectively absorbs pigments, allowing for colorful resin character figurines, paint applications, electroplating, and various treatments. Compared to figures cast in materials like PVC plastic, resin-made figures boast durability and a tactile quality.

Resin art figures represent an artistic creation achieved through processing, assembling, and painting resin and similar materials. This form of artistry presents rich expressive capabilities not just for toy creation but also in applications like advertising and film special effects.

Vinyl Toy

Until now, many people think that vinyl is the name of a material. Here, it is necessary to popularize the science. In fact, vinyl is the name of a manufacturing process (rotocasting process). Due to the special manufacturing process, some other things are added to the material. As a result, people feel that it feels different from ordinary PVC toys, and they mistakenly believe that vinyl is the name of the material.

The “vinyl process” involves layering copper (possibly other metals, though the specifics are currently unknown) onto the surface of the prototype. This copper layer forms a basic metal mold. Then, a PVC paste resin (or PVC pellets) undergoes various processes to adjust its softness and hardness, forming a latex-like state. This mixture is poured into the prepared metal mold, which is heated over a flame while continuously rotated to ensure even heating. Afterward, it is removed from heat, allowed to cool, and the mold is opened to extract the product. Generally, this process specializes in producing hollow molded products. As it employs a paste-like PVC resin, which is finer than ordinary PVC resin, the sensation and texture vary for each individual. Compared to regular metal molds, this method is cost-effective and easy to produce. However, its drawback lies in the lack of pressure during the process, and the low flowability of the paste PVC, restricting the production of highly intricate and complex products.
